    I only have it on the lowest setting as I am infirm but as it is it works fine. It is comfortable to use and the adjustment control is smooth. I have no idea as to the longevity of the item but I suspect, being some type of plastic material has been used for the manufacture, it will last a lot longer on the lowest setting.
