The Chosen One can put an end to Sett Ra's reign of terror if you can locate him in time. Join Shaq as he embarks on a quest to find the Chosen One and prepare to fight your way past eleven ancient warriors who will try to thwart your every move.

Shaq-Fu is a fighting game from the designers of Flashback that allows you to play as any of the twelve fighters (including Shaq himself) in a Duel, Story Mode or Tournament. Options include three difficulty levels, variable time limits, different control configurations and changing the game speed from normal to fast. Special moves must be learned as you fight, since they have been intentionally left out of the instruction manual. Incredibly detailed animation and backgrounds will make your battles versus the computer or human player memorable. Can you master the ancient art of Shaq-Fu?

Shaq-Fu is Great for Retro Collectors

Whoever started that one website to destroy all of the copies of this game, are doing a terrible job. Bottom line, this game doesn't make any sense and that's why I love it. As far as fighting games go, it's ok. Graphics were pretty good for the time. The controls are utter nonsense, I only have five fingers on my hand and it requires all of them to do certain moves or to simply pause the game. I think this is a great game for those looking to collect for the system, but as far as playablity is concerned, it's not the best. I mean, if you're considering getting this game, you probably have some idea of what you're jumping into, so I'm not gonna stop you. Honestly, it's just fun to say that you own Shaq-Fu.

  • Shaq Fu... What's there to really say with that name?

Shaq is everywhere. On the front of the box, the back of the box... with some sort of weird pseudo martial arts pose... I mean, it's just Shaq. There is no way he cannot look goofy doing it. Getting past the comic relief, and the horrendous criticism that Shaq Fu is the absolute worst game of all time, it's rather decently playable. And even if one does not like it, they should still keep it in their collection, because not only will the numerous carts of it that are being destroyed cause it to eventually be a collector's item, but there's no way you can resist such laughable cover art. And with a zany and absolutely nonsensical storyline, it only gets better. Perhaps it is the overall cheesiness of the game. Nobody ever said Undefeatable was the absolute worst kung fu movie ever, but if ...

  • Excellence. Pure Bliss.

Shaq Fu. A name that echoes in the hearts of those who grew up in a time when Shaq was king. This is a game that you don't love because it's fun. You don't love this game because it's good. Infact, when it comes to playability, this game pretty much scores a 0 out of 5. It's god awful. But that's not why I, or anybody else would purchase it. So why is it worth having? Because this game is a piece of history. It's something that should be held onto and cherished. It's a game that should bring back memories to all of those who watched him in such star roles as "Kazaam" and then said "I wish there was a videogame with him in it. Oh wait ... there is!" Don't spend money on this game if you want to play a great game. Because it's terrible. Spend money on it if you want to put it in a vault ...

  • One of the wrost games ever made...

I was a huge Shaq fan when this came out and I can remember playing it on the Sega Channel. Even back than I thought this is one of the worst games ever made though. Graphics even for Sega Genesis aren't that great, controls are horrible, story... is there a story??? Shaq may have actually been the one that wrote the story and dialouge, game play and all around experiance isn't that great. That said I mainly added this to my collection to see if what I remembered was correct and just to add it so I can tell people I own Shaq-Fu to see the look of disgust on their face heheh. If you collect fighting games you may add this as it is an infamous game in the genre, or if you collect Shaq items it shows his popularity at the time, or if you pride yourself on collecting or playing horrible games ...

  • Shaq Fu

Lets see...Basket ball a sport about team work.... and Fighting games...you think these two would not ever mix right...but history has proven us wrong...with the addition of raiden and Subzero as characters in NBA jam back in the arcades Shaq has decided to enter the fighting game genre and attempt to conquer both fields does he succeed....I think not, the game is a cult classic but sadly only becuase of its funny story. basicly shaq while on tour with the lakers meets a old hermit in a china town like area and is told he is the chosen one or some mystic bullcrap and gets pulled into some realm where he has to fight everyone he talks to....becuase apparently shaq is known for his uber karate skills... but the hard controls and everything make it nearly impossible to do any kind of ...
