  • Great Introduction to the Master of Ragtime Piano

When "The Sting" (movie starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman) came out, Scott Joplin was exposed to the masses with the theme song "The Entertainer." Subsequently I had purchased several records of his great piano rags. Since those recordings have gone by the wayside, I decided to purchase the CD "Elite Syncopations" since Scott Joplin himself had cut some the actual piano rolls and I wanted to hear his original playing style. The CD also contains a sampling of his earlier and later rags.
