Great biography of Leonard Cohen
Very interesting overview of Leonard Coehen's life. I was fascinated to find out more about how his songs were inspired or developed and to understand more about the man himself. My previous knowledge of his life was very limited, even though I have loved his songs and poems for decades. It was wonderful to go underneath and uncover the person. I even liked reading some of the specifics about his touring and the teams involved although the list of people on various instruments etc would probably be of more interest to those involved inthe music industry. However, I learned more about how records are produced and how tricky some of that process can be. Leonard Cohen is my man.
I've said it before about his CDs but Leonard Cohen really IS 'my man'. His voice which changed over the years is just as mesmerising and captivating in earlier recordings as it is in later ones. Some of the songs may be repeated on the various CDs but the presentations are as different as the productions.
