For the right application it can't be bettered.
Expensive, but very good for an already sterile open wound. Unlike gauze and lint it resists becoming incorporated into scab while allowing the would to dry with minimal risk of airborne pathogens. The adhesive is exceptionally good without leaving a residue when the dressing is removed. Elastoplast it isn't, nor is it intended to be but for the right application it can't be beaten.
