A good compilation of interesting episodes
Although it cannot match Planet Earth, it is a good mix of a broader perspective. The quality of the images is good, but unfortunately some of the scenes tend to repeat throughout the episodes (some of them even taken out from planet earth). Southern Pacific discs are quite disappointing with regards to the narration and emphasis on the islands, rather than on the ocean itself. I hated the underlining of the dangers and perrils that filmmakers "almost bumped into" repeated throughout the episodes. If it didn't happen, don't mention it. Furthermore, this should be expected when filming in those conditions. Nice surprise with Wild China - interesting, perhaps because I had less expactations than from Pacific episode (really disappointing, looked like done on a low budget). It's nice to have, ...
