Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds) is a college stud who is in no rush to finish his coursework and graduate. In fact, after six years of partying his way through Coolidge College, his parents have decided to stop paying his tuition, but Van Wilder isn't worried--he just needs to find a way to pay it himself and keep the fun coming. His fundraising ideas include a topless tutorial service and other raunchy schemes, which only help add to Van's "Big Man on Campus" status.<BR>A romance develops between Van and Gwen (Tara Reid), who is writing an investigative piece on Van for the school newspaper. Through his exploits, Van eventually begins to turn over a new leaf, and finally grow up. But not before there are plenty of opportunities for the kind of gross-out humor that teen flicks like THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY and AMERICAN PIE have made so popular in recent years. The main set piece here involves dog semen injected into eclairs. While this is not exactly highbrow fare, teen audiences who are not too squeamish will enjoy this bawdy college romp.

One of the best comedy films ever made, van wilder is the guy you want to be at school or uni, he is cool, funny and gets the girls and can throw one hell of a party. You can learn many a thing from this film!

Super funny film. Great if you enjoy the wacky antics of the national lampoon films.The dog scene will stick in my mind forever. Really glad to have bought this dvd.

Van Wilder: Party Liaison - best pizza and beer movie!
A true hidden gem. The eponymous Van Wilder is a student at your typical American campus university, he's been there for many many years and is the undisputed king of the school. Unfortunately his dad decides Van's been spending too much of his money and the movie charts Van's final year at uni. OK... the above sounds like typical trash teen comedy. However, this absolutely the funniest movie I've ever seen. The villain of the piece proposes to his girlfriend with the line "lucky girl!". Horrible things happen to pastry. An innocent young exchange student learns many good words. etc... Fantastic stuff Buy It Now!A true hidden gem. Excellent Dvd
This DVD is one of the greatest films about, excellent characters, great set location and a dvd that I will recommend to all my friends. i decided to buy this dvd as i have seen it before, i couldn't remember it and i was given van wilder 2, so i needed to get this one.
