Excellent product ... works well.
As a seasoned Leica owner, and user, I tend to default to the Leica OEM products. However, they didn't have a combined diopter/magnifier eyepiece ... when I stumbled across this Bresson unit, I felt that maybe it just wouldn't work, especially given the price ... I assumed wrong! It is really an excellent tool. It allows me to fine tune my eye sight variance, and fine focus my 90mm lens. I also use it while shooting with my 50mm lens, even though it doesn't show the full frame lines in the viewfinder ... I still prefer to fine focus with it and adjust my composition, after viewing the first framing attempt, which more than not, coincides with fine tuning my exposure, as well. I can't speak to the build quality, or durability ... only time will tell. However, it seems to be a solidly built, ... Not quite what it says it is - but still useful
It's not a variable magnifier - size of magnification does not appear to change. In theory it is a variable diopter.. but it changes little as you turn the eyepiece - or at least the eye compensates! So.. is it useless? No... it does magnify and can be clearer than without - so for 75MM lens it does help achieve better focus, especially for older eyes.

Decent to poor quality. The magnification is suitably for lenses starting with 50mm (even for 50mm you need to look around for frame lines). No magnification adjustment. The diopter adjustment it is very long, you need to go more than 11 turns from end to end. Rotating the diopter adjustment ring is a bit too loose and the force that you need to apply it is not consistent and you will feel some small hicks and bumps all the way.Decent to poor quality. No Impact
I don't what is wrong with my eyes... I cannot see any different before and after plug this Bresson Y. I asked my daughter to see through this magnifier attached to the viewfinder, she also cannot see any differences...
