If you a beginning steel player this may not be for you. You will need to raise the nuts in order to play with a bar. The fretboard is wood and too thick to work as built. Most steels have at least 1/2" space between the fretboard and strings. This is also a 20 1/2" fretboard. Most are 22 1/2" and above. Still fun to play and light. You will also need to adjust the fretboard for intonation.

The packaging could’ve been better in the box, arrived, torn, and not a lot of padding in the in the package. Fortunately, the guitar was not damaged at all, but a note to seller. It would be good to package these better. The guitar arrived with the headstock nearly poking out of the box But the guitar itself was completely undamaged.
