    I Love A True Story

    Directed by Ron Howard this factual story is told through the eyes of the three Astronaught who endured hell off earth..I was only 2 at the time this happened so I didn't know anything that would happen in this film..I love true stories so my interest was peaked..Tom Hanks delivers a stunning performance as head Astronaught Jim Lovell..also in this great film are Bill Paxton as Fred Haise and Kevin Bacon as Jack Swigert..what starts out as a fanastic mission to the moon ends up becoming a race against certain death as they struggle to repair their damaged ship the damage caused by an explosion..on Earth Wives (one pregnant), Children, Mothers, Family members and Friends watch anxiously to see if the three trapped Men can do the impossible..This film will have you sitting on the edge of ...

    Apollo 13, No problem, here!

    This movie is by far one of the best I have ever seen. Maybe its because I remember the events, but I really think the Ron Howard did an excellent job bringing these events to the screen. The actors are all did a fine job and though, I don't personally know what each man was really like, I think they brought believable emotions to the story. The special effects combined with the actual footage that Howard used made me feel as if I was watching the actual events. Even knowing the outcome, I still felt the tension and excitement. If there is anything wrong with the film, I would have to say that I found parts of it to run a little slow. My family and I have watched this movie several times and enjoyed it each time.

    An inexpensive classic VHS Movie, lots of knowledge!

    What do I like and or love about this movie? Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, and Ed Harris all great Actors. I loved the romance these Men had with their wives and their jobs. It is a breathtaking true story of what happened to Apollo 13 while in space. Their trials and tribulations documented for the whole world to see. They showed extreme courage, faith and truth among each other while they were hundreds of thousands of miles from Earth. I bought this movie because Ron Howard was the Director and I knew he would detail the truth about what happened to Apollo 13. Great Movie! Kittykat5851

    One of the GREAT Ron Howard films!!

    A truly terrific movie that chronicals the true story of the fated Apollo 13 mission. Director Ron Howard and a wonderful cast led by Tom Hanks manage to tell the dramatic story while succesfully keeping accuracy and details in focus. Highly recommended as a fine film to everyone. If you have even the slightest interest in America's space program, this is a must-see!

    One Word - Outstanding

    The blow-by-blow account of mankind's third attempt to land a man on the moon, as told from the prespective of the mission commander himself. The real-life characters of this event leap from the celluiod in a nonstop, action-packed, Hollywood blockbuster, and popularized the term, "Failure is Not an Option". It should be required viewing for every middle school student.
