Direct Replacement Wheel Stud. Worked Perfectly.
I have a 1967 Land Rover with a previously welded-in wheel stud where the weld had failed and the stud pulled out. I ground-off the old weld and cleaned the 9/16" hole as best I could. This replacement had the correct 9/16" thread for the wheel nut (they changed to M16 later) and it worked perfectly. I had to file a small lead-in in the knurled part of the stud, but only because I couldn't clean-off the old weld from inside the hole. Pulled the new stud in with a reversed wheel nut (flat end first) and a long bar stopping the hub from rotating. Pulled-in easily and is the correct length without having to counterbore the hole from behind. Perfect, permanent solution to a previous, cowboy repair.
