    A gripping story with a good balance between fictional romance and well-researched historical fact. It manages to include close-up accounts of the great historical events of the 16th Century, with the fictional characters cleverly woven into reality.

    Unbelievably spell binding book.

    Before reading this book, read the first of the trilogy. I am an avid reader and part 1&2 are amongst the best I have ever read. I am 70 and have read many books.
