It great for what I needed it for the only thing is it over heats after a while and then you had to wait to continue my shredding other wise it's ok for home use

Poor replacement for previous WH Smith shredder that lasted many years
The top sits on the waste bin rather than fitting snugly as per my previous model, and therefore is easy to knock over. After falling over, the top will still attempt to shred which isn't safe. It struggles to shred standard A4 paper that has been folded in half. Also, it seems to frequently not release the paper so that it has to be pulled out of the lid manually. Disappointing standard and I won't be buying this brand again. The top sits on the waste bin rather than fitting snugly as per my previous model, and therefore is easy to knock over. Ideal little shredder for home use.
Sits on my desk without taking up too much room. The top can be adapted to fit over a larger bin when shredding multiple sheets. I find it works best when feeding single A4 sheets folded in two. This prevents 'skewing' of unfolded sheets. I like the 'clear' button which ejects the remaining strips and helps to prevent jamming. paper Give it a little rest after a few of minutes use, otherwise the safety cut out will not allow usage for a while. WHSmith straight cut shredder not so stable as previous model
The picture is misleading and not the one sent out. This is a previous shredder and lasted a long time. the current one is not so stable as the shredder sits on top of the bin instead of neatly inside and the quality is not so good. The correct picture should be shown .

Stopped working after only 20 sheets shredded
As the title says stopped working after only 20 sheets being shredded, took several days for WHS to really understand the issue so finally sent back to them. The reverse action was ok, I even tried cleaning the sensors as suggested as well as vacuuming the teeth area to no avail. In hindsight it seemed that this particular machine had been used previously with the packaging not exactly as it should be with a split internal bag, the electric lead not wrapped in an orderly fashion etc. Now awaiting my money back as the machine cannot be relied upon as they won’t do until they receive back, the machine not fit for purpose in my case.As the title says stopped working after only 20 sheets being shredded, took several days for WHS to really understand the issue so finally sent back to them.
