Recommended. Great value.
The viewing area is huge! I've had far more expensive (£200) helmets years ago that had a smaller viewing aperture, and... On a TIG course at the moment, running low current, the shade adjusts to a lighter shade than my other one which goes down to 9. This one? Perhaps 5. Now, the large viewing aperture means that bifocal and varifocal wearers like me can easily look through the bottom of the aperture at the arc. I've had to buy cheap single vision reading glasses in the past, so I could see my arc/weld pool/filler rod. This one's a joy to use. I don't know how reliable it will be, but at this price? Buy 2! Adjusts for shade, sensitivity, and speed of dimming, plus "grind" test button on the inside. Spend a little time getting your settings right. I got my sensitivity setting ... It was the sensitivity set wrong (my fault) The adjustment knobs move a little too easily, can be altered accidentally. Cut some felt washers and fit them under the knobs for a bit of friction... Use a white metal marker, or Tipp-Ex to mark the settings, which are all black, illegible. All minor issues, considering the price...
