Not suitable for seasoned hardwood.
A cheap maul that is probably fine with softwood, but if you are chopping hardwood it makes for a back breaking job. Repeated strikes at full force to split each log.

6lb chopping and splitting log
Nice and good size chopper, nicely balanced well weighted head with a good grip at the base. Effective with very little effect required due to size, would recommend as I have found the larger size chopper easily spilts.
