From going on safari with Teddy Roosevelt to waxing philosophic with Leo Tolstoy, the show is gently educational as it charts young Indy intersecting, often dangerously, with historical events. Produced under the watchful eye of creator George Lucas, these seven feature-length episodes chronicle young Indiana getting himself in all sorts of tight situations, and feature guest stars that include Vanessa Redgrave, Max von Sydow, Anne Heche, Lukas Haas, Elizabeth Hurley, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Young Indy on DVD!
Unlike the way originally shown on television, these episodes do not feature the bookend introductions with George McHale as an older Indiana Jones. Rather than follow the original format of the series, a descision was made to supply the stories of Young Indiana Jones in chronological order. This can at times be confusing, as some stories were started with a very young Indy, and not concluded until later on. In the original format this was not so confusing, as it was all handled within one episode. But now some of the stories seem unfinished at first viewing. It is only later that one realises the conclusions. I have to admit that I have always been more of a fan of the stories featuring Sean Patrick Flannery as a teenage Indiana ones, than of the stories featuring Coery Carrier as the ... But seeing them again now not only shows that they are just as good, it also demonstrates Carrier's ability as a child actor. The show was originally intended to be part educational, and it shows. But not in an irritating way. It is both entertaining and informative. The DVD also features a large number of documentaries covering the subject matter only brushed upon by the episodes. These documentaries are little jewels that provide a wealth of information in an interesting way. My personal favorite has to be the one about the life of T.E. Lawrence, known to the later audience as Lawrence of Arabia. This collection is an absolute must for lovers of Indiana Jones as well as those interested in the history of the early 20th century. But apart from that it is also good clean family fun!

indiana jones boxset
this is the only place that i could find this boxset for a good price keep the good prices i tried to get this product the only place i could get it was on line for about 60.00 pounds per boxset i will be buying the other two volums in the near future. Ebay is great to find the stiff you need for good prices the boxset is for my father in law i previously brought the indiana jones films for him in the boxset and thought that the young indiana jones would top that offthis is the only place that i could find this boxset for a good price keep the good prices i tried to get this product the only place i could get it was on line for about 60.00 pounds per boxset i will be buying the other two volums in the near future. Ebay is great to find the stiff you need for good prices the boxset is for my father in law i previously brought the indiana jones films for him in the boxset and thought that the young indiana jones would top that off

Where it began
this is one of the best series ever to be on tv, i had to buy it because i used to watch it all the time when i was younger. was fantastic seeing it again. i would recommend it too anyone, five stars.
