    Inspired lathe tool

    What a amazing piece of kit. I wished It had been available when I spent years in a centre lathe trying to get exactly the right last few thousands of an inch on the button. This is a must for all users pro or diy. Lathe bed must be plumb before use as it should be anyway. I wish I had the mind to invent this! Great tool!

    Not very accurate - rough guide only!

    Can I start by saying that this product is a superb idea and the engineering principle of it is very sound. Here's the but - it is not very accurate and suspect this is down to the cheap spirit level and holder used. This is a shame as the rest of the tool is superbly engineered and has a real quality finish. I now use it as a rough setting guide only. Do not rely soley on this for tool height setting or you will break tools and ruin your work. I am going to try and re-engineer this to improve it when I have the time - but that will have to wait. In conclusion - a good design which, unfortunately, is poorly executed.

    Just perfect

    I really like it, the quality is really good, my 1st question was about the precision with a small bubble, and yes it is, use it all the time and get always a perfect center height on all my tool and it is really quick to use. Can only recommend it.

    Easy and quick to use

    This product is light weight, quick and easy to use and can be adjusted to compensate for a machine which is not accurately leveled. It is nicely made and finished with red anodising. Although the "gage" is American designed I was dismayed to find it was made in China when it arrived
