Worth the money.
Nice slim unit, feet do not mark worktops like others do. Takes time and patients to get use to the settings, starts at max heat (Very fast) then you have to reduce the settings down. (Heat) Will burn contents of pan if the setting is too high, especially if your heating milk. Heat output is in pulses, not a smooth heat up but one gets use to that. Very economical indeed, in some cases better than an 800w microwave but this is a different type of heating and cooking. Be aware that the glass is NOT scratch proof if you drag pans on the surface, even new pans with completely flat base will do it. Have ordered special induction cooker pads to protect the glass from scratches, sellers details indicate that they have no affect on the heat/cooking. All Works well so far, familiarization with controls needed
Induction hub works well so far! elegant design for the cost, and rapid heating of the foods, probably even faster than heating via microwave. However, some improvements are needed: - Cooling fan is so loud! Not so discrete for office environments - Software and user-interface: cooking function always start at 2000W. WHY?! That's been causing my food to burn almost instantly, and might cause a power surge in some homes! After some trials, I learned how to circumvent the over-cooking problem, and start the heating from lower wattages/temperatures, by the following steps: 0- DO NOT yet place your pot on the hob 1- Connect the hob to the wall socket and turn it ON 2- Select Function. This will start the cooking at 2000W. However, with no pot placed on the hob, the induction won't activate, ... Again, this won't be visible on the LED due to the error message. 5- place the pot on the hob, and it will start cooking at 100W, and at the set time if selected from step-4 6- Raise the wattage, and change the cooking time, as desired 7- after cooking is finished, turn the hob OFF (or it will turn off after the set time has ended), remove the pot 8- DO NOT unplug the hob from the wall until the cooling fan have stopped. That said, software and UI improvement are crucial to make it more user-friendly and prevent overcooking, mainly by allowing the user to set the temperature and time BEFORE hitting GO. Otherwise, this could be a great inconvenience to many users. I hope this can be taken into account. Thanks!

This is an excellent Hob
This does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to control and very manageable, even a pensioner like me can use it, I store it on edge against the wall, I only have a small kitchen. Very economical, down to 100w if you make noodles!. Quick for scrambled eggs or a steak. Made in china but sold in UK by a UK company which is why I chose it, I also have a Bertelin Digipot which is excellent, If you live in a flat or similar small space I would reccomend this. Plus if you scroll through the modes it tells you how much energy you are using to keep an eye on your bills. Enjoy.This does exactly what it says on the tin. Very efficient and safe hot plate
I move from gas to standard electrical cooker whish have dangerous surfaces after cooking and are extremily slow in operation. The Bertlin hot plate works very quickly and are fully controllable for accurate boiling, slow cook, and temperature and timing of the actual cook, and for me even more important is the surface will never be hot enough to course burns should I accidentally put my hand on the hot plate after removing the pans. Very Annoying Appliance. Why?
6 months in use. Now getting rid of it... If you need a MaximumPower Appliance to cook/boil/reduce a large amount of liquid to pulp (with a Huge pot!) then this is the Hob for you. Basically useless for more intricate or delicate cooking, as this adjustment issue spoils it. Very Annoying Appliance. Why you ask? Imagine a Hob you HAVE to start up at MAXIMUM Level to then ALWAYS turn down to the required level. Always. Forever ever after. Means it ALWAYS starts at 2000w until your fingers are rushing to tap wildly to turn it down to the lower levels..Now calculate how much energy you WASTE in a year. Imagine a Hob shutting on and Off to keep the temperature. That is how this thing (probably a lot of induction stoves) regulate the temperature. Above 100c-Setting you don't notice the ... 6 months in use. Now getting rid of it... This Never Fails. Great. So - you must run it on 100c with the timer (always) or it will cremate your bacon. Imagine a hob where everything above 100c is only good for turning food into Charcoal. Who knows, maybe it is way to cheap and there is a flux converter in there and this thing was meant for WarpSpeed. Imagine a Hob which ALWAYS blinks its display at you while Not in use. What a great feature...for finding it in the dark. Good for people without kitchen light. It always beeps at you when you tap the buttons. Beep Beeep Beeep. BEEEEP! I was fooled by the nice orange colors and shiny appearance, but slightly worried that I didn't find any reviews on Amazon for this brand or appliance..so I bought the "pig in a poke". Didn't turn out well, an now I am so annoyed by the thing that I will flock it again just to get rid of it, trying another cheap induction hub, cant be worse. Hope this helps someone.
