When I reconnected & went back in to check, it was able to display record of the battery change together with the current mileage (or rather kilometerage). Note - I was replacing like-with-like and opted for "Simple (Common)" mode, rather than "Professional" when presented with the choice. Haven't tried diagnostic function.
