As children we always had the fruit and nut toffee at Christmas. I remember me Nan playing a game with me and me cousins on the dark winter nights using the toffee hammer. She'd get us to spread our fingers out on the kitchen table then hammer the table between our fingers. If she hit our fingers we'd get a bit of toffee but then we'd also end up in A&E. Oh, happy days 🤪
