Reviews
3 stars out of 5 -- "This time out they’ve gone even further, reaching for a humanism so universal it’s literally intergalactic. As its title suggests, MUSIC OF THE SPHERES is a concept album about outer space...", "'My Universe,' which follows a similar musical template as Katy Perry’s 'Teenage Dream,' bounds forward with the headiness of star-crossed infatuation.", "Music of the Spheres' Finds Coldplay Pivoting Towards a more Explicit Pop Incarnation.", "The album is full of soaring pop melodies that take you high enough to enter orbit and touching sentiments that makes the universe around you glow ever brighter."
Additional Information
The intergalactic ninth album from the English band takes their late-era pop sound to new heights with producer Max Martin.

      Unmistakably Coldplay!

A bit more 'poppy' and dance-floor friendly than more recent offerings - hardly surprising, given the producer - but none the worse for that. The actual concept doesn't always carry over into the individual songs' lyrics, but the collaborations work well, and make for a nicely varied (and not overlong) album.

    • Great title which is appropriate for the songs on the album

Bought it my husband for Christmas. He loves it but I was little hesitant at first in listening to it. As the album progressed I really enjoyed it. A great listen as far as we're concerned.

    • Grand Lads

Chris and his mates seem like good lads. Very right on, but the nice thing is they believe it. This is a nice album, it seems they've been raiding their big brothers (or dads) record collection, because theres definitely prog rock overtones, with Pink Floyd, Moody Blues and even more modern progsters like Muse influencing this album. I like it and recommend it 😸

    • Interesting.

I am getting used to the music on this cd. It is not the usual type of music I associate with Coldplay.
