It came quickly. Unfortunately aithough the packaging stated it to be the item ordered, when fitted it made the motor run backwards. Therefore the starter clutch wouldn't engage.
When I eventually discovered the fault I ended up putting the old one back in.

Sorry but correction required. The plate you purchased has the correct rotation for the listing. For the opposite rotation you should have purchased from our listing 2956638443565 which is for brush holders often marked marked R to identify starter rotation. Both listings have clear pictures to aid identification.
