Book in good condition as described (the package was damaged in shipment and looks like someone cut it with a sharp blade. Only missing a piece off back corner and top corner of last 2 pages - not seller’s fault!) I am very pleased with my purchase - great price, smooth transaction, great communication and fast ship. Recommend this seller to all. Thank you!

  • Nerds Unite!

I found this book while browsing through nonfiction related to cultural studies on nerd culture. Sam Maggs gives readers a conversational, fun piece to learn from and laugh at. I find it compelling in the sense it is everything I wanted in a "guide" to the culture, but I wasn't looking for a "femm-first" approach. There is nothing wrong with that, just be prepared for a subjective view on the culture. Her glossary is helpful since there were plenty of words and references I didn't know (even though I identify as a "nerd"). Her casual tone makes it feel like shes talking directly to you. Although, it's a little too casual at times for my taste. Good Guide, would recommend it to fellow nerds.
