I took the plunge and I don’t regret it! Excellent machine.
I haven’t written a review before but I felt an element of responsibility to do so for this pressure washer, if like me, you may have already surfed the net for countless hours trying to find someone who has bought it and had anything good or bad to say without success. So here goes! Things didn’t get off to a flying start, the box arrived without the hose, gun, Lance or water inlet connection and one rest (for the Lance) was broken. These things happen, and given I bought it on eBay from a supplier who deal with return items I guess it was my fault not to purchase from a Sealey Supplier direct. Soon we came to an agreement as it did say it was brand new, and I called Sealey to order the missing parts. I have to say this was probably one of the most helpful customer service teams I have ... If they didn’t know the answer they would patch in a technical support member who would soon pin down the part. I placed the order at circa 4pm, and was told it would arrived 2-4 working days later, only to arrive the following afternoon (within 24 hours) - excellent. I have assembled the pressure washer with the part and I’m just awaiting for the engine oil to arrive which isn’t supplied and typically I’ve run out of. I will update this review when I have used it, but the machine is solid, easy to assemble, good looking (not entirely relevant) and feels like it will last. It’s not cheap, but similar models/power would cost almost twice as much at Machine Mart and after reading the most biased reviews online about other petrol pressure washers (which I assume the owners get as a gift to talk about) I can honestly say this is a completely independent review from someone who had bought tools from Sealey in the past and wanted to give this a try. Update: This evening I started up the engine, it’s noisy but the power is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this machine. The two detergent bottles at the base are a nice design, I haven’t used them yet but handy being able to separate two types and switch from take one to two with a dial. Great machine.
