This Tamron Di III B011 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 lens features vibration compensation that allows the photographer to shoot images of superior clarity without having to set up a tripod. Using this Tamron camera lens for Sony's stepping autofocus motor, this Tamron Di III B011 is able to automatically focus along its entire focal length range of 18 mm to 200 mm quickly. This allows the photographer to use this Tamron camera lens for Sony without manually adjusting the focus on the subject matter. In addition, this wide focal range also allows the photographer to both capture distant images and to zoom in on still life from as little as 19.7 inches away. Using this Tamron Di III B011's macro feature, the photographer can magnify small subjects up to 3.7x their original size. This lens measures 3.8 x 4 inches and weighs 16.2 oz, making it simple to hold and steady enough for vibration compensation. Great all in one for the price
This lens addresses the biggest need for most amateur photographers; you want a lightweight camera system you can take anywhere, hiking, family outings, events, etc, but you don't want to keep changing lenses. This is a great, sharp lens and a good compromise over the art quality of the higher end lenses. Face it, you're not going to find an all in one that doesn't have a bit of distortion, even in the $2K+ range. But the reality is that you're also not going to capture the candid shots and opportunities if your system is so bulky, you only bring it out on special occasions. That's why this is a great compromise. It is lightweight. It is comfortable around the neck, and you can easily carry it with you all day. The auto-focus is a bit slower than the Sony lenses, which is the only downside. The zoom is manual, but it is smooth. Slight barrel effect at wide angle, but you can fix that in Lightroom or other programs if it is an issue. You might miss some shots with the slower auto focus, but I've been very surprised and happy with the results. And again, I get a lot more good shots with this lens than I would ever get toting and switching lenses. Certainly there is a place for those as well, but for the price and convenience, this is really a must.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great walking around lens for DX sensor e-mount cameras
This isn't a great lens but it covers the range from 18-200mm and is native e-mount. Mounted on a DX format e-mount camera like the Sony A6000 it provides a great compact setup for shooting while walking around in broad daylight or even at night if you can manage the noise. great seller - shipped super fast - nice lens
not perfect - but for price a real real nice lens - of course there are comprises with a super zoom lens - what I really like is image quality for the focal length - very nice - I like the size - and not very heavy for an APS-C lens with that range - Sony has made two types of the 18-200 - first model might be tiny bit optically but costs a lot more and is much larger and has a lens creep - the other model - is simply I think this Tamron - they looks the same - except Sony branded one is more expensive - you will not be disappointed with this lens - in APS-C terms /35mm then this lens is 27-300mm - great lens - great seller - I bought this lens for a friend - I have mine for awhile and love it - to bad Tamron does not make more lenses for the E APS-C mount for Sony as Sony has not made many lenses for the E APS-C mount - seems that they only now make FE lenses at a very hight cost - I think Tamron should make a 24-70mm F2.8 and a 70-200mm F2.8 - sure to be good lenses and a lot less then what Sony seems to be interested in makingVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
