    Four Candles

    It’s a tapered fit you need to adjust fit quite a bit in my case but that is the way it is. I worked at it a made it fit, lots of test fittings and then done I made a rivet out of a large nail, drilled hole through wood slightly smaller than the nail drove it through easily,do not want to split wood and riveted end. Competent DIY easy. Used fork a few times already no problem. Treated with boiled Linseed oil. Do not leave in greenhouse to dry out and become weaker! like I did, put the tools away in the shed. Treat with Linseed oil once a year.

    A good well made product

    I would have liked a shorter version of the handle but it was easy to fit and the extra length will mean that I don't have to bend over so far when leaning on it admiring the weeds growing

    Lovely handle

    Love the handle, Like that it is all wood and not plastic at the top like lots of others. Good length. Would have liked fixings included, they were quite expensive to buy separately but could be bought in bulk and provided cheaper with the handle.

    Beautifully crafted, strong and satisfying.

    This is a real bodger piece. Bodger as in coppice type wood crafted. Beautiful, and incredible value. It has been planed at the fork end to fit a very old fork that has served three generations.

    20mmx5mm piece of handle timber at forked splay chipped out.

    Pity that the handle splay/split (in both handles) had small chip of timber missing. This marginally impairs the strength. It was surprisingly also present in a handle purchased a few years ago - 3 cases out of 3 possibly indicates that the supplier is regularly being fobbed off with sub-standard stock that has failed 100% inspection.
