The rod was poorly packaged and not labelled fragile. It was delivered broken. The seller took two days to reply to messages. When posted and sent confirmation I received a reply within an hour. Seller received the item via parcel force and says later I have still not received my refund. I would not recommend to ebayers. I am a long term user and this is poor and unsatisfactory.

    Danish Oil

I have used Danish Oil now for two projects, the first being an Oak block floor which I had previously coated using an acrylic varnish which lasted three years and was worn out. Five years on and the floor is still perfect! The second project is an Oak worktop for my kitchen which I have just completed, this looks wonderful with the oil giving the oak a golden lustre which is gorgeous. Very happy with the product.

  • Beautiful honey colour

We use Danish oil on our unpainted wooden doors and exposed wood surfaces. It gives a lovely honey colour to softwood and is pretty resistant. Its easy to clean. Two issues which don't bother us but need to be considered. The smell as it dries, although pleasant in small amounts, is over-powering and external wood does need another coat every year or so. We love it (and not just because my wife is Danish) and have a dry place outside where we coat our doors and leave them to dry, so we *can* use it.

  • Rustins Danish Oil

Rustins Danish Oil has become the de-facto wood finishing oil according to 90% of the Internet, and IT IS GOOD. It gives a lovely deep colour with the in built slight stain, very good penetration due the methylated spirits in it, dries quickly because of the included drying agents and good protection with the natural tung oils. However it doesnt offer the same level of protection of straight up pure Tung Oil. but then, your're not reading a review of pure tung oil?
