Surprisingly, it was shipped in a bag (as opposed to a box) and as a result, was a little bent out of shape but otherwise fine. Compared to a modern bell cap made by Midway: The bell is somewhat bigger although the visor is smaller. The brass buttons or generic - but look OK. (I replaced the ones on the Midway with antique SUVCW buttons) All in all, it a good hat. I like it and consider it a great value.
