This is a fun game. My son is always challenged and can't wait to complete each chapter. The game really is for 10+ aged kids. My son is not 10 yet. The game gives clues and notes along the challenge and he can't read the notes that fast... he ends up calling us in the room to help. I would prefer him to battle along w/out our constant help. But, the story book w/in the game does narrate so that is a plus. Other games expect you to read it.. and it moves from page to page too fast. No blood seen yet so far and the bad guys just seem to sparkle/disappear, w/o any horrible death scenes, when killed. We got it for an excellent price. I would recommend this game. But, not for the $30+ price it is selling for in the stores.
I am an avid fan of Avatar. I am a new Wii owner, and was in the past an avid gamer. I bought the Wii not for the games, but for the fitness, and a bit for the controls. I saw these games bought the first one, loved it so had to buy the second. I have had many difficulties playing this game. I do exactly as the on screen commands tell me and still I have difficulties. I was expecting it to be a little easier, since it was made for children. If I was still a kid, I wouldn't have the patience to figure out how to make some of the moves work. (I was a hyper kid, with a very short attention span.) Fortunately I am older and am willing to try over and over again. I do like being able to change characters, but honestly I had to put the game away for a while... I got too frustrated trying to make the moves work. Eventually I will probably get the hang of it, and come to love the game... but right now... well Average is a gracious score, well above what I feel about it at this current time.Read full review
The game is slightly uninteresting and the visual graphics aren't of the highest quality but it is an older game. But to get the game at such a low price it was practically a steal. I personally play it just because it is official Avatar merchandise. I wish Nickelodeon would do a newer hd version of this ame for the wii U or 3DS.

I have been a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the TV series. It was only natural that after the amazing series finale, I should get into the games!!!! Though The Burning Earth may not appeal to those who know nothing of the show, huge fans like myself are not disappointed....well except for the fact that its very easy to beat. But hey...I am a die-hard fan!
My entire family of Dad (31), me (29), and our boys (2,8,and 9) LOVE Avatar. The 2 older boys absolutely love this game as well. It follows the story line really well and is true to the series. We have rented the other 2 Avatar games and this one was the best skill level for my boys. The first game was 2 easy and they claim the last one is a little two hard for them. Burning Earth is by far their favorite of the three!
I liked the facted that you could use more than one character's abilities in the game. i didn't like that i could not play as a single character, if there is only one player, that player has to play for two character which can be confusing at times. it was a chalanging game but i didn't like that it was too short. i beat it in 6 hours.
Cool game, controls are wierd sometimes as its a Wii game.

My kids really like this game. The game is fun and they can both play together, also it is challenging and my son won't beat it in a few days like some of the others he has played, highly recommend, especially if your an Avatar fan!! My son has this game on Wii and Nintendo ds and loves both!!
My seven year old asked for the game...all four of my sons ended up enjoying the game :) And this is coming from a household of some serious gamers :) Recommended for moderately experienced players who enjoy problem solving type games and the characters in Avatar (not the movie w/ the blue guy).
