La termocapilaridad es un fenomeno de transferencia de masa debido a gradientes de tension superficial a lo largo de interfaces entre fluidos. Desde mediados del siglo XIX se han desarrollado un significativo numero de trabajos para tratar de explicar el concepto. Respecto al efecto de termpcapilaridad asociado a burbujas adheridas a superficies calientes, este ha sido ignorado durante un largo periodo de tiempo. Sin embargo, actualmente se trata de un topico de creciente interes debido a su potencial importancia en la comprension de la tasa de transferencia de calor en ebullicion. Derivado de ello, el presente estudio trata de un analisis de CFD (Mecanica de Fluidos Computacional) acerca del efecto de termocapilaridad en burbujas. Respecto a los lectores a los que va dirigido este texto, se ha pensado para investigadores y estudiantes de postgrado interesados en el tratamiento numerico de la transferencia de calor en general.
