About this product

Product Information

Hit the mean streets of Los Angeles to dish out third-person vigilante justice in the style of Max Payne, Mafia, and Grand Theft Auto III. True Crime: The Streets of LA casts players as Nick Kang, an ex-cop who battles a dangerous underworld through 100 varied missions. Some assignments show influence of the popular GTA3, putting the player behind the wheel of a car or at the trigger of a gun, while others may call for more stealth and deception, or the use of the hero's impressive judo skills. Instead of resetting each level until the player gets it right, failure in a mission causes the story to branch in a different direction, leading to a more personalized role-playing experience.

While the purchase and exchange with the seller was positive, I did receive the item with a crack in the hinge that wasn't apparent in the listing. The seller and I surmised this happened during shipping, and they have contacted Canada Post about the matter. Still waiting to hear back if Canada Post will cover any damages. As this was an expensive item, I'm a bit disappointed about that part of things.

    True Crime

This is a really fun game! It's similar to the GTA games. Maybe not as good but it's hard to get on that level. Nevertheless, this is a good game that's a lot of fun.

  • Streets of L A Pimped out Midtown Madness?

I admit it, i'm a little warped. To me there's no better way to unwind after a stressful day than crashing a few cars, running over a few dopers or just shooting a lot of cops. In true Crime Streets of LA you can do these things and so much more. As a big fan of Microsoft's Midtown Madness i always wished i could do more. Now with True Crime you can really explore you dark side while having fun. True Crime has slowly became my favorite game. There are some draw backs to True Crime that i don't like making it not suitable for children. The language in the soundtrack is crude and foul and can't be turned off. The soundtrack is the one thing i really dislike and find distasteful. Overall i think this is a great game and would highly recommend it to any adult. I would not recommend this game ...

  • True Crime: Streets of L.A. (Gamecube)

In this game, you play as a police officer who does many missions and solves a variety of street crimes. I dislike this game for several reasons. The story isn't really long, even if you do all three endings. The storyline can also get kind of strange. For example, there is one mission where you have to shoot down demons that were summoned by some legendary guy that is apparently 342 years old. Also, there aren't as many things to do as in Grand Theft Auto. You can only drive cars, shoot, fight, and run around. There is a lot of language in the soundtrack, which I find distasteful. All in all, this game isn't one of my favorites and I wouldn't really recommend it unless you think you will like it.
