Durch die Klassifizierung der Kundenanforderungen in Basis-, Leistungs- und Begeisterungsanforderungen erhalt der Praktiker ein Hilfsmittel zur Priorisierung und Behandlung von Trade-offs in der Produktentwicklung, zur Entwicklung massgeschneiderter Leistungspakete fur bestimmte Problemloesungen und Anhaltspunkte fur Differenzierungsmoeglichkeiten gegenuber dem Wettbewerb. Die in dieser Studie untersuchten Produkte zeichnen sich durch eine grosse Komplexitat hinsichtlich der Anforderungen aus und sind somit sehr geeignet fur die Anwendung des Kano-Modells. Neben der theoretischen Erlauterung des Kano-Modells wird anschaulich und kritisch die Durchfuhrung einer Untersuchung von der Fragebogenerstellung bis hin zur Interpretation der Auswertung der Ergebnisse dargestellt.
