Knopfler plays what he likes
Although in all cases I prefer the original country blues versions it's great to hear these tip top instrumentalists playing a selection of the music they love - prisoner work songs, red-neck, early Paramount country blues, gospel and Lonnie Johnson sophisticated post war blues. No one could be offended by the choice or the renditions. Knopfler's arrangements are so typical of him, you couldn't be fooled.
