It's the only way I know to get some of her best and little-known songs like: 1969 excellent rock/pop version of Que Sera Sera (Ringo drums, Paul electric guitar and bass); 1969 acoustic-gtrs-only backing of The Fields of St. Etienne (great anti-war folk song, Paul Prod; 1970 acoustic-guitars-only backing of "Heritage" - sublime folk-style love song; and... 1971 B-side "Kew Gardens" isn't bad either. None of the above are available on iTunes. This CD also has the famous tracks (which are available on iTunes, but for AUS$2.19 ea): Those Were The Days; Knock Knock Who's There; Sparrow; and Goodbye. It also has a lot of extra songs that weren't on the vinyl version of this, which I bought in 1979, including 4 from her 1971 album: "Ocean Song / Earth Song" She was an angel - not only in looks but most importantly in her singing.Read full review

This is a great collection from a very gifted and interesting artist that recorded for The Beatles Apple label. Contains two great singles, "Goodbye" and "Those were the Days" that are not included on her other two fine releases on Apple, "Postcard" and "Earth Song Ocean Song". Really good liner notes and photos as well! Although I would recommend one either one of her aformentioned albums first this is a must for the two singles that topped the charts.
Loved Mary Hopkins from being a nipper.. Knock Knock Who's There? Was my all time fave but remember "Those Were The Days" being in the charts too.. As well as "Goodbye".. Brilliant album, Very nostalgic.. Very pleased with my purchase.. Many thanks - Fov xXx
