Competent and capable machine.
Machine a little larger & heavier than anticipated, but that's a good thing. Easy enough to prepare for use - handles on, cables routed, filled with the provided oil and a tank of petrol. At first I couldn't work out why the height adjuster wasn't as described. It was supposed to be a 5 position click-stop knob, but my adjuster simply went round and round. After speaking to Hyundai I was informed the latest models have a variable adjuster. I wasn't keen on this but after a couple of sessions I can see it's probably better as long as you remember to turn it to the highest setting when you've finished. That way you know where the adjuster is next time you use it. It is easy to use as it pulls itself through the grass. Raise the deck with the lift handle when turning. It certainly pulls out ... Domestically robust, easy to assemble and use machine
This is a generic Chinese scarifier (label states made in PRC - Peoples Republic of China) but Hyundai is the only supplier that I know to give 3 years warranty (that's why it cost a little more). The machine is easy to assemble, use with easy starting . It seems reasonably fuel efficient and does a good job of removing moss and thatch. The height adjustment is not immediately intutative but it's easy once understood (look underneath). I'm not convinced the plastic adjustment knob will last the life of the machine but it's adequate and time will tell, I may be wrong. Haven't tried the rake but anticipate this to perform as well as the aerator. A good machine that works efficiently and at a reasonable price
The machine was easy to put together from the box - must read through the manual. Once set up it worked extremely well on its first job of scarifying 0.75 acres of lawns that had not been scarified for a long time. Amazing amount of dead grass and moss came up. Now feeding the lawns so that they recover. Hight adjustment easy to use although no actual set positions thus trial and error needed. Have not used the wire rake yet. The collection box is too small as it fills up very quickly. We removed the box and scarified without it and then raked the area and then went over with a lawn mower.The machine was easy to put together from the box - must read through the manual.
