Literature at its finest
Being a big fan of the movie franchise I decided to purchase this bookset to read through on my commute to work and I have simply been blown away, Tolkien truly created a masterpiece with this series of books, I found myself not wanting my bus journey to end so I could carry on reading, I half expected to find myself knowing the entire story having seen the films but there is a huge amount of great content that never made it into the films. The production quality of the books themselves is also fantastic. Bought for a birthday present. Box is nice and the design consistent across the books. Obviously fantasy fans will love the LoTR series. What they'll love less is the poor binding used on the books themselves. These were bought for a birthday present and it's very disappointing that after one read the books look like they'll be useless as pages are falling out as quick as they're being read (and this is someone who looks after books and doesn't bend the spines).Bought for a birthday present.
