    Extraordinary Zeitgeist

    This is a novel about attitudes to money in the 1980s. The Zeitgeist or spirit of the times. Powerful, sometimes crude, it follows the adventures of a man who runs on 'heavy fuel'. Much of the time he is blind drunk. Above all, expect to be entertained. It is an extraordinarily funny book, but may also be one of the most important novels of the late 20th century. Accessible, it nonetheless features on research degree courses at leading Universities (for good reason). Buy it, read it, love it. Paradoxically, you will spend money to get it...but it will enrich you. It may change the way you think.
