    Fabulous camera

    I chased this camera for a couple of months on Ebay as the specs looked fantastic. 35 x zoom and 14Mp plus Canon's excellent software, it has lived up to my expectations and beyond. I haven't yet exlored its abilities fully - there are so many that it will take months - image stabilisation is great, resolution superb, HD movies, in camera editing and playback are easy to use and very effective. Altogether an incredible buy at a bargain price. Happy man with his new toy !

    I'm really pleased with the quality of pictures and the camera build

    I bought this camera to replace my old kodak bridge camera to use for work. I have had it for a while now and taken quite a few photos. It gives excellent results although It has two disadvantages firstly, the flash has to be manually raised which I find a little anoying to say the least. Second, I find the grip a little on the small side for my adult hands. I'm still to explore all of the features that come with it. This is a great camera with a powerful zoom lens and is far superior to my old kodak camera. This is my first Cannon camera but not my last.

    Canon PowerShot SX30 IS 14.1 Megapixel Digital Camera

    I bought this camera in order to avoid the constant trauma of attemting to change my SLR lense before the target beastie fled the scene. And the zoom capability of the Canon SX30 does not disapoint. It is however taking me some time to adapt to zooming and focusing whilst retaining the subject location. A clever little button which zooms out, then back in does go some way to solving this frustration. At very high zoom it's very difficult to compose the shot and a tripod is needed. The really annoying aspect of this purchase is the absence of a hardcopy user manual. I've finished up printing out the pages I need - a one inch wadge of paper! Overall I find this camera's ability to photogragh the smallest and most distant subject, usually with acceptable resolution, ...

    Great Camera with easy-to-use features

    The camera arrived quickly- one day before the expected. It came in a box which was clean and the camera inside had no odour to my delight. There were a few scratches on the lens cap but other then that the camera was good quality and I loved it. The zoom was amazing (35x); it captured intricate detail from a further away subject. Over all, the camera was in a pleasing condition and I look forward taking more pictures with it in the future.

    Fantastic camera for idiot proof shoots.

    I bought this camera to go on holiday to Eygpt, knowing nothing about cameras. I wanted something better than my happy snapper Canon, but just as fool proof, but not so expesnive as the EOS my husband has. It has the most amazing zoom lense with great apperture (better than my husbands!!!). I just set it to the scenes program and just pressed the button - I am delighted with the results. The only disappointment was the flash - which isn't automatic and has limited reach, but I still good some reasonable shots at night. I haven't tried the video program yet as I really bought this camera for still shots. All in all a great camera at a reasonable price.
