An Original Volvo Replacement
A straight original Volvo part swap with all the fixings needed supplied. Replaced my alarm after the usual internal battery failure that damages the circuit board before change of battery is possible. Once fitted it removed the warning 'Alarm System Service Required' or similar warning notification. Shame Volvo don't make this unit serviceable and notify message in good time before battery corrosion occurs. System is sealed and needs to be cut open to access the battery but by then it is usually too late. But this replacement did solve all issues so an excellent item and highly recommended. Fiddly to fit as under the FOS wheel arch liner and if you can do it yourself you will save hundreds on garage cost.A straight original Volvo part swap with all the fixings needed supplied. Very pleased with this alarm unit, bought because the well known alarm service required message was displayed - obviously the internal batteries failing on my original 12 year old unit. Came in a Volvo box and with a full set of Volvo instructions. My garage was concerned because the instructions stated that the network system across the car would need recoding after fitting. Helpfully Helen of TrustCarParts assured me that it would work without recoding. Now all fitted and no warning light without any need for coding in.
