If your confident with manual exposure and setting up personalised function buttons for all the basic features like focus and exposure then this camera is in a league of its own for street photography... As an advanced amateur photographer I'm delighted with this purchase ... Wont go on about the specs as there is plenty of content on youtube .... The lens 28mm equivalent is sharp...So so Sharp .... Snap focus the modern equivalent of zone focussing adds a great tool to the arsenal of any street tog..... Highlight weighted exposure gives that contrast of deep blacks without allowing you to blow the highlights and is now becoming one of my favourite features... Personal profiles allow you the option of baking in your adjustments so you see what you get on the LCD of the camera in live mode which helps frame your image.... Shoot manual to get the best out of this mini beast .... It looks like a basic compact camera but I would beg to differ this is one powerful camera that will give professional results when the tog takes control ... I normally shoot street with a bag full of DSLR lenses batteries etc... I now use this pocket camera and an extra 2 batteries (battery life is awful on this camera so pack spares) and what a difference as you blend into the background ... Have to say "Thank you Ricoh .... I'm now a fan" ... I've included some images I have taken on my 3 trips out with the camera....Read full review

This is a great quality little camera. Easy menu system and easy to set up. Fits nicely in my jacket/hoody pocket. Helps to make you invisible as a street photographer even though you have to get close to your subject with the fixed 28mm lens. Really good image quality with the 24 megapixel sensor and allows some cropping. The only thing I don't like is the battery life - definitely need at least one spare battery and a bit of energy saving settings on camera.

Very happy with the camera. For it to be such good quality images in a compact is very useful for when out and about. Easy to take out of pocket, switch on, adjust settings with a few flicks, take an image and on your way in a few seconds. Definitely need to learn all the camera has to offer to get the best images out of it. Great for outdoors and scenery images.

Amazing! this camra ticks all the boxes of a true pocket size pro camera. small but mighty and also has Built in image stabilisation. the unique snap focus mode on the Ricoh that let you pre-set the focus distance is very accurate. never missed a shot always in focus.

If you are looking at this you probably already know the history of the GR line, if not there is plenty on the web youtube etc. These cameras are pocket cameras with full manual capability and deliver great images from the stellar lens and APSC combo. Cannot go wrong with a GR it will last for years and is small enough to carry with you, 'the best camera is the one you have with you'
