While the manila envelope and bubble-wrap packaging worked out fine on this occasion, perhaps the inclusion of a sheet of slightly-oversized cardboard in the future would keep the magazines flat and create a sturdier buffer space around their edges and corners, enhancing protection from the inevitable bashing that occurs in transit.
