I started to watch this series The Pallisers many years ago but I stopped after two episodes I found the old European names of the characters too distracting I recently saw it for sale on eBay so I figured I'd give it a try again I found it to be wonderful engaging very entertaining

This series gives me a glance, of time passed a time of chivalry and beautiful ladies in beautiful gowns. I really enjoyed the look of this series, and the story line. Makes me want to read the novel.

This epic BBC drama follows the Palliser novels written by Anthony Trollope (1815-1882). Beginning with the arranged marriage of serious minded Plantagenet Palliser to the free spirited Lady Glencora, the lives and loves of their friends and family are all subjects of this study. The backdrop is the House of Commons in Great Britain as we watch the comings and goings and loves and tragedies of the powerful and not so powerful. Other characters, most notably Phineas Finn and Madame Max Goesler, come into their lives and the intrigue, scandal, loves and loss that each encounter adds depth and richness to the story.
