Seller notes: “This Longines Conquest automatic dates from late 1955, and has their outstanding calibre 19AS ... “This Longines Conquest automatic dates from late 1955, and has their outstanding calibre 19AS movement at its beating heart. It is completely original and nearly 70 years old yet is still in perfect running order and is keeping time very well. It has its Longines marked crown and the very tasteful gold inlay identifying the model is still near perfect on the caseback. There are obviously some light scratches on the case, but it has never been polished and too is nicely original. The glass has no scratches visible, however the dial and dagger hands are patinated. The dial itself has aged to a lovely rose gold shade over most of the surface and I would hesitate to change it, as it tells the life story of this classic watch. The movement is beautiful, with a fine perlage finish to many components to highlight the top quality workmanship when this watch was first made.”
