Long before there was "New Age," there was Music for Zen Meditation. The Zen, or spiritual, musical repertoire became established as melodies, initially improvised, and later memorized, notated and passed from one Zen monk to another. Recorded in 1964 in Tokyo, this production - as part of Verve's Master Edition series - features meticulous restoration and digital transfer, original LP cover art, new liner notes, photos and more in a deluxe, full-color digipak.
