    For context, the government is shut down and the US Postal Service has been a bit sluggish during Oct. 2025 Despite that, a tracking number was provided quickly and shipping was quite prompt. The LP was brand new (and worth the price, a very high quality pressing!) as described with 0 damage to package, cellophane, etc. The LP was packed in a brand new LP-sized media-mailer with a tear-off for easy opening and no risk of damage from a knife. These guys really know their stuff! A++

    Hammett portreys himself

    This movie is a fictional representation of Dashiell Hammett's post detective mystery writing life. Hammett's detective characters mirrored his physical and I would say a hoped for ideal version of his personality. The quirks that marked Sam Spade, Nick Charles, et al, are available in this movie, the setting of Chinatown squalor not withstanding. The movie is slow paced and dark, but if you have ever read the 'Thin Man' you will see a connection. You have to appreciate his characters and stories to like this movie.

    If you are a fan of dashel hammett's writing, or if you're a fan of nostalgia films, this is perfect. Well acted, we'll direct it, and a plot that sees that it was written by dashel Hammett himself. Well worth a watch.
