    GREAT MUSIC FROM THE BANCE BAND ERA

    All Vocalion issues of the British Dance Band era of the 1920's through to the 1940's were excellent and the re-mastered sound reproduction by Michael Duttonn from original 78's source material is second to none. Most of the CD's are now deleted from their catalogue and Vocalion are no longer releasing material from this era, so one now has to rely on the secondary market to fill in any gaps. This particular issue was reasonably priced, but the original CD's were priced at £5.99 each, so would not have paid anymore than the £9.80 I was charged. The average price on the secondary market for these CD's is £3.00.
