      Gives a little more control over what is essential.

      Good reference for what the operating system contains and a reasonab;e guide on how to get rid of the parts that are not required - which is most of it! This only relates to the basic framework as with the continual; update there's no telling what rubbush with hamper trying to use the program in a few weeek time. Have been able to get the parts I actually require easier to access ~ so the cost of the book has been more than justified.
