It has a solid rubber foot for non-slip confidence and the handle is one mould and not ridged in the middle like others I have seen. The only thing I was a bit surprised at is the slight noise you can hear when walking, when the extendable poles move around in the hollow part (no fear of them collapsing- just a bit of an irritating sound).
