Quieter than old unit
Pros: Fairly easy to install It was more quiet than old unit which made it worthwhile to purchase Price was right for value received Cons: Directions contained no words which made it confusing Had to make opening way bigger than unit to allow it to clear mounting bracket ... than had to tape around it to seal it from the attic insulation. Quiet exhaust fan
I purchased this for a basement Rec room, as a part of a “required” fresh air system. The 50 cfm was perfect for the new room space. I was also looking for a quiet fan. This fan is very quiet. I connected it to a 24 /7 digital timer. There are 3 wires: green is ground, black and red. The red wire is the traditional “white” one or the load wire. I hardly notice when the fan is on. It was an easy install as well. it snaps into the provided bracket. This fan can be installed on either a side wall or in the ceiling. Mine is installed in the ceiling.
