I was the first to buy one and, in retrospect, assumed I would receive the undamaged engine. I did not. I received the one with the broken railing. As to the packaging, bubble wrap might help. It s what I use when I have no orginal locomotive packaging. Unfortunately, the engine was not restrained from fore and afte movemnt and the end railings were bent. My other buyers say so in their comments. Review the pictures in the auction that clearly show the handrails as you received them.
